Rahsaan is really having some fun now!

BTW, that 03 Gouges Blanc isn't such a bad wine. It's probably my favorite French white from the vintage.

I was actually drinking the red. I don't think the way it shows now would be anyone's favorite anything. I have no idea how it will develop but will hold one bottle to find out. But, will keep that in mind about the white. Don't see it much, but who knows.

(man, that must have been some Christmas party!)(or maybe these kids are just arriving a little early post-New Years?)

Ours was actually a mid-December conception, right after I returned from a trip to Paris. Something about the cheese and the macarons. But I'll stop there for now.

There goes your wine budget, by the way...

Thanks for reminding me!

I've had 9 months to prepare and stockpile as much Burgundy as my meager means allow, before the New Considerations.

You should have slipped Jay's name in somehow. He's a soft touch, "Bourgogne for Babies", "A Little Chambolle for the Little Shaver", and all that.

Well, another promising wine cellar shot down in flames. On the other hand, more future support for my profession and Rahsaan's.

So, on balance, congratulations to all concerned.

Many congratulations, Rahsaan, and welcome to the club. Maybe you, Ian and I can organize a tots 'n' Burgundy jeeb somewhere? The kids get a horizontal tasting of milk or apple ciders while the adults take on some Cte d'Or reds?
