Awesome, I can't wait! Cute girls hanging with greasy, older dudes (of which I would be one today). Is he wearing a pocketsquare?!?

Just kidding though. I've heard great things and really do want to go there (and not just to see cute girls).

Indeed! Last Wednesday they had Pinon Vouvray Ptillant Ros by the glass, as well as a nice Chaussard "You Are So Beautiful" (but avoid the 05 Thierry Germain Saumur-Champigny, needs time).

Ralf does the best charcuterie in NYC and which could hold its own anywhere, really. And this I say as someone who lives in the capital of charcut'.

The wine list would require an army of hardened drinkers to exhaust the interesting possibilities.

Though I think storage is less than optimal, unfortunately.

OMG, he is wearing a pocket square.

But, disconcertingly, they seem to be having breakfast, which isn't quite the pickup meal. Unless I'm behind the times.

All i have to say is Jean-Marc Brignot...hands down the best trousseau experience ive had. love that guys wines with a passion.

Which bottling?

I've had the just Trousseau (apparently there are others), vintage 2004, a good handful of times, and it is a funky delicious mess.

Opinions differ, but J-M B might not be making wine any more?

I had the 05 recently. The wine was not messy to me, a litle bit of funk but not dirty, etc. I found it quite pure and deep. It may be true that he is not making any more wine but i havnt heard that from anyone else (I also tend to be "out of the loop"). They have bunches of his wines (whites included) at Racines.

Well, also, she has a look like if she hears him talk about "his zuper-fast porsche that could whisk her off to his zuper-fantastiche loft" anymore, she'd rip his face off.

In regards to the bridge support resto on tenth...i indeed have had a great couple meals there. That reminds me, i should plan to go there soon.

It's amusing that Brignot came up in a thread about Coturri.

Brignot does not make wine in the Jura any longer. I believe he has a negoce now in Beaujoulais, but I may be mistaken as to the location.
Which is a shame.

Cliff, while I didn't find it underripe by "natural" standards, a touch more ripeness might have balanced the bit of brett. I had a glass of Chaussard "You Are So Beautiful" the other day that had a bit of brett, but it was fine because in balance with everything else.

Underripe mainly by the standard of Puffeney, but also in the sense that it was too austere in absolute terms, and I like austere.

Too funky and "natural" for me.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Well...Two bottles of '07 Tissot trousseau in my bag and sitting at the bar at Tressle. Magic of teh interwebz.

I hope you had the duck necks.
Oh, where were you 16 hours ago. No. I really thought about it. Someone by me ordered them and they looked great. I went for some pork/cabbage crpinette app instead. I also had the chicken liver pat (which was amazing), some speck and a pork terrine. It's a really nice place. I ended up drinking the 2007 Pacalet Chiroubles that worked really well and was tasty. Thanks for the reco/heads up.
