So the 2 Dog Point Vineyard chaps were in HK and I had time to kill before dinner ('05 Xisto drinkable, '08 Penfolds 128 less so). I thought the block 94 Sauvignon Blanc was good, more Chavignol than Pouilly-Fume, and definitely more Marlborough than either, without some of the crazier yeast-induced effects. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were okay.
Camille Saves night before was pretty disappointing - disjointed and overly lean. Really, you're from Bouzy? No way.
'05 Penfolds St. Henri Shiraz - great as marinade.
