It's been a long time since I wanted to try a wine from Clos Marie. Finally I drunk the 2007 Cuvee Manon, mainly grenache blanc and roussanne. This is an outstanding wine. 12.5%, incredible freshness for Languedoc. Fat but not heavy, lot of fruits with a herbal touch, this is very easy to drink.
Then my 1st experience with the 2009 Pascal Janvier, Jasnieres, Cuvee du Silex. Impressive minerality and the obvious ripeness is playing with the acidity. A lot of lime and pear. Very good. I wonder if the ripeness is because of the vintage or a characteristic of the Silex cuvee.
