Roulot is most awesome. De Montille's Puligny Cailleret idem. But I can't agree about either Jobard, beurk.

Glad you like chardonnay. Fight the power!

Hey! I'm no Chardonnay hater, unless you exclude Chablis and BdB Champers from the conversation.

Do you have to be reminded? Do you like slurpable Bojo, too?

It made we almost sick to write that sentence.

Then my mission is complete. I find that neologism less objectionable than the others you cite, probably because I picked it up not far from Emirates Stadium oh so long ago. I shall henceforth spare your sensitive soul the torment, though, and refer to it only as bubbly.

What's a neologism?

I've been sick for a couple of days and my brain feels as full of holes as a piece of Swiss cheese.

I feel I've let you down.

Nah, you're just the constant n00b, it's like you've found the fountain.

Apropos: cheese + wine, dined this evening on crackers with local pepper chevre rinsed with 2003 J.J. Christoffel 2003 Uerziger Wuerzgarten Auslese **, which went extremely well together - the UW surprisingly light on its feet.

Also, recalling reading somewhere that one of the Rothschilds claimed to like his own wine best with mac and cheese, I experimented with 2001 Sociando-Mallet and mac and cheese. Not bad, but not to die for. Perhaps loftier ingredients would enhance - I used the leftover from my son's dinner, which comes out of a box.
