Ha!

I just bought the coolest stuff ever from Chambers St., but I am sadistically going to wait until it is all gone before I tell you what it was.

Bwahahahaha!

Delicious stuff.

I found a way out of the way shop that has like 2 cases of Coudert just sitting there in a forlorn corner. Strange.

I found a place that has magnums!

They're just barely getting to the west coast now. There should be plenty around this coast for people who missed the NYC feeding frenzy.

WTF? Is this the new normal?

Thevenet, Jean-Paul 2009 Morgon Vieilles Vignes
This wine has just arrived, but a very small quantity, so we ask that purchases be limited to 6 bottles. Always one of the greatest Beaujolais.

Breton, Guy 2009 Morgon Vieilles Vignes
(Arrives 12/6) A tiny quantity of the 2009 has arrived in New York, let us hope there will be more.... Please, three-bottle maximum order.

Don't recall even seeing CSW asking people to limit their purchases before. Speaking of Breton, I really enjoyed a less expensive Breton bottling called Le P'tit Max at Verre Vol two years ago; wonder why nobody bothers to bring this one in.

this is all amusing given that my favourite producer is not even close to being shipped.

Decombes?

I'm pretty sure this will all be behind us by the time the 2009s get here.

Gotta love the timescale of Descombes and Desvignes. It seems a bit crazy not to bottle and ship amidst all the 09 madness.

The 2009 regular was gorgeous tonight.

Sigh, to think it was nearly 11 years ago that I had my first Coudert at Minetta Tavern.

Holy crap. Was I there?
