Data point: had the 2007 VV Saar Volz last night. I agree with Oswaldo's description although I would also mention some appealing peach notes on the palate. But it is somewhat muted now and the alcohol is a bit high. For all of that, I thought it was good wine - one maybe to drink in 2018 rather than now though.
