2005 Les Cailloux Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc (Lucien and Andre Brunel), alc 13.5%
(80% Roussanne and 20% Clairette, all aged in tank with no malolactic fermentation) This starts out a bit sweet but settles down into a more complex and serious wine when matched with food...exotic spices, lemon zest and a hint of nuttiness come out with airing...the intensity builds in the mouth and the texture is a bit waxy/oily....this does very well with a squash/chicken casserole...
