if you happen to be in tribeca

I went there when I was back in NY and found the food excellent, I agree. Nettle pizza! Though I was ordering only a glass of wine, so didn't get a good gander at the bottle list.

To return to the theme of Tribeca, has anyone been to Marc Forgione?

went last night after the drink at city hall. low lighting, crowded but not packed, pretty good food. 06 moulin tricot, 04 michel cornas. also some dard et ribo, corison, etc...

So the Foillard is delicious. Had one at lunch today with a pal. Autumnal but still plenty of fruit, salivating acidity, not much tannin. Long, but a bit lean as you might expect from the vintage. But a real treat. Thanks, Scott, for the tip.

Oh, but there's no real rush for the food.

OK, I happen to be in Tribeca. What time do they open?

Colicchio & Sons: '09 Lapierre Morgan -- $48, and the food is really good lately too.

Union Square Cafe has also moved on to the '09 Morgan. Also $48. (Their Lapierre '08s were nice, but suffered from imperfect storage.)
