San Francisco Highlights?

I'm going to be in San Francisco for a few days next week. It'll be a short trip but I want to make sure to check out the stores/bars that might be of interest.
I have Terroir on my radar for its focus on natural wines, as well as K & L for its sheer size. And Kermit Lynch in Berkeley because, well, duh.
Anything else I shouldn't miss?

Scott Kraft is often seen around San Francisco. That can't be a good sign, but if you must go, try La Ciccia.
 
When you go to Kermit Lynch, go next door to Acme Bread Company, buy a Pain Epi, and devour at least 1/3 of the thing before you get back in your car.
 
Crab season starts Monday. Go to China Village in Albany. Get the crab special off the board - usually s&p style with lots of chilies. Also get the crab noodles at SD. Basically, get some fucking crab.

Don't waste your time at K&L. They seem to have it in for the FarmWine folks - at least last I checked. Go to Arlequin.
 
Thanks everyone. I've noticed that Terroir and Arlequin both sell wine by the glass in addition to the regular retail format. I'm used to the New York wine world and its strict demarcations between bars, wine retail, and grocery stores, so I'm curious to see how that changes the wine buying experience.
 
Wine-wise, go for a two-fer by going to Biondivino, an Italian-wine specialist in the North Beach area, and William Cross Wine Merchant, my new favorite small wine store in San Francisco that's right around the corner on Polk Street. William Cross carries Louis/Dressner and Neal Rosenthal, among others.
Dee Vine Wines along the Wharf has a great German selection.
I've only been to Piperade, a Basque restaurant, once but I loved it.
If you make it to Berkeley for Kermit Lynch, also on San Pablo is The Spanish Table, which has some nice Spanish and Portuguese wines and food. I'm also a fan of North Berkeley Imports a dozen blocks or so away from Kermit Lynch.
China Village in Albany (borders Berkeley) is great. The owner has great dishes from all over China. Their cumin lamb is probably the best I've ever had. It's more western China style.
If, by chance, you like Indian food Berkeley also has Vik's Chaat Corner, which is legendary. Expect long waits around peak eating periods.
 
If you you like Thai cuisine, Lers Ros on Larkin near the Civic Center is notable for having numerous well made dishes not usually offered in US Thai restaurants. It's about halfway between Arlequin and Biondivino.
If you like sake, True Sake is only a block or so away from Arlequin on Hayes. A dedicated sake only shop.
 
another great spot in Berkeley is Cesar, a tapas bar with a great cocktail and wine list that is next door to chez panisse.

They're letting you back? How did you get those warrants settled?

A couple of doors down from Turtle Towers is Bodega Bistro. A group of winos had a great dinner there a few months ago during Family Winemakers. Some don't like it as much because they stopped using peanut oil, but everything tasted great to us.
