I'm not listening to anything vlm has to say until he breaks his silence on the Spurs game.

that's like expecting me break silence on the corked bottle of 71 haut-bailly from last week

On the contrary - you clearly cannot (or are unwilling to) read. Have fun.

Mr. Dressner,

If you actually bother to read you will find that I rarely, if ever support Parker. In fact I am oftentimes a vocal critic of his work.

I understand you are under a lot of stress & enjoy using me as a target (we've been down this road before).

For both our sakes let's drop this now.

Have a good night.

'Always nice to come home, open up the old lap top and find that WD is just as contentious as any bored - maybe even RB's.
You all should be so proud.
Best, Jim

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son.

Damn, Oswaldo, what if you can't do a single one of those things?

I've always been haunted by the height of these bars, and their implication that I'm not yet a Man, just a man. So I've taken Sharon's timely reminder to heart and made a small alteration at the end.

A full explanation is always good. It makes jokes funnier and prices... pricier!

I agree (although maybe not with the "prices pricier" part).

A friend once asked me if I wanted to go bowling. I said that I wasn't much into kegling and she looked at me kind of funny and said I was a prevert. It was only later that it dawned on me that she thought I'd said kegeling.

We had a really good laugh about that one the following week when we went for a hike in Kagel Canyon.
