2001 Allemand Les Chaillots - still too young, not showing well. But good wine, not in a style everyone will like. More interesting for me texturally and aromatically than its immediate siblings.

2009 Chignard Fleurie 'Les Moriers' - Berry Bros. has the agency for this? How much of their Hong Kong clientele will really want this wine? Oh well, their loss. Very fine, delicious now, should be more lip-smacking with age. Drink, drink and hold.

Did they Chignard have CO2? All my 2006s, so far, have had to be vigorously shaken.

Is that a new thing with the 2009 vintage?

BBR in London has a decent amount of Beaujolais. Some overlap with the names seen in the US, but then some names we don't get here.

Maybe. They're already closing out the Chignard here in HK. It's still closer to USD20 than USD10, but well worth the money.

I'm frankly amazed they even thought there was a market for it here.
