07 Domaine de la Tournelle "Fleur de Savagnin"

I really groove on this expression of savagnin. Such an interesting flip side of the coin w/r/t the voile.

And this one was particularly pure, lacking the stylistic excesses of a recent Bindernagel or a Ganevat (more excesses in the former, that said).

Is this a topped up version of Savagnin?
Sorry for being dense, but I haven't tried the wine.
I do like like their Ploussard very much, the non carbonic version anyway.

I accidentally found myself with a bottle of this after I unpacked my last shipment from CSW thinking I had pulled the '07 Trousseau when actually it was the Savagnin. Damn labels look too similar (never mind the red/white thing; I was in a hurry). Oh well, great to hear that it's tasty.

Evelyne and Pascal just keep getting better.

Yes, I completely agree.

It is.

Here's good info (in French) from their website.

Do chime in when you've tried it.

Their label looks a Lot like Cloudy Bay...
But, tastes like a little slice of heaven. Drinking the last half of a bottle opened last night, right now. It's definitely how Sharon describes it. Pretty, pure, mineral. Lovely. It was a bit nervous last night, but has calmed down just a touch a day later. Still, quite vibrant and fresh; racy even. It's not oxidative, yet it still has that Savagnin nuttiness, which makes it so easy to drink a whole bottle by yourself if you've got a hunk of comt nearby. Just really lovely.
