I ate a snack of Serrano and drank a glass of Čotar Teran 2007 with it and the combination was so good I came into my pants. Very sour, low in alcohol (just 11% abv) and high in acidity, no wood. The only thing not to like is that it costs almost 30 / bottle. Must find more Refosco!

Otto, a joke song from Saturday Night Live, fairly old at this point, on the subject of something you wrote in that note. It's amusing and juvenile, but I don't think your life's going to change by not having seen it. Maybe try this.

I visited him last month and had a line up of wines from him that brought me unabashed delight too. I found them to be shy wines that had me feeling a bit sheepish in trying to find the right rhythm between sloshing them down or focusing on their many details.

Besides the Teran, the other reds had lots of rough wood tannins. The whites see some used wood; I forget how much without my notes in front of me.

The climactic note in the tasting idem is only halfway justified with precision: I mean "Cotar Teran 2007" is precise enough, but "a snack of Serrano" certainly doesn't justify the ecstasy-followed-by-dry-cleaning. What kind of ham was it? I mean, "a snack of Serrano" is the same as describing the drink as "a glass of red from some little Yugoslavian country" or something...
