A friend recently reported an undrinkably tainted Gevrey village 04. My feeling is that this phenomenon currently varies from week to week and bottle to bottle.

And person to person. I opened the '04 Gevrey and the '04 Morey VV in September for some friends, and there were no comments regarding green.
