General reflections on Burgundy vintages 06-10?

I believe the '06 Tremblay Vosne Village has Les Beaux Monts fruit in it (though maybe it was the '07, I can't remember). I thought the '07 was delicious.

I get confused as to when she bottles Beaux Monts or not (I bet Claude knows!), but I loved the 2004 the one time I had it. Dream burg for Loire drinker.

I so realize the lameness of this question (vintage generalizations, etc.)

I can't believe this is happening. I mean, I just can't believe this is happening.

Glasnost is the first step to politburo recognizing that there is a problem with vintage generalizations.

Fear the anecdotalFWIW,
We've been enjoying some low level '06s for the last few years. Drouhin's Chorey-les-Beaune, which I could get locally (huzzah!) has given us a lot of near-term drinking pleasure (and shows no signs of going South any time soon).

you tried the '10 yet?

trying to save a drop for tomorrow, but don't think that plan is going to work

i have found a lot to like in the wines of ladoix, pernand and chorey in 06. to be taken with the usual warnings about generalizations, of course.

So I've heard. There was a large lot of this available at at online auction last year, but I am surprised at how many people have suddenly tasted the wine.

I'm curious about Ladoix; Cornu is the only producer I've read anything about - also the only wines I've seen in these parts.

Beh.

Ladoix is awesome.

Maréchal used to make some pretty stuff, but I don't drink their wines much these days.

Had an excellent '08 Nudant Ladoix recently.

A lot of Ladoix (probably the majority, even the great majority) gets bottled as Côte de Beaune-Villages (blended with other stuff or not). The ones I see most often are Maréchal (former vines of Prince de Mérode) and Faiveley (it seems to be a staple in the wine department at Bon Marché in Paris). I sometimes see Jadot. Other notable producers are not well-known in the US, e.g., Chevalier, Nudant, Cachat-Ocquidant, Capitain-Gagnerot, J-P Maldant, Michel Mallard.

Cornu is a great producer.

i like cornu too. but my most memorable bottles of ladoix have come from francois gay. the 01 is genius. gay also had that happy knack of making wine i liked in vintages i didn't, i.e, 97.

the son took over in 02, i think, and i took an extended leave from europe at the same time, so i have not much idea about what is happening there now, but my experiences with his 05 and 06 ladoix were positive.

That's good to hear. I sprang for some Rollin '06 Ile des Vergelesses, largely on the strength of your endorsement. Now I've just got to live long enough to enjoy them.

I can't locate my note, but it was either 06 PV or Les V or ile des V ( sorry! ) that I found strangely accessible if still working out structure, but it was the equivalent 07 that I thought was stellar and superbly balanced in comparison... go figure !
