General reflections on Burgundy vintages 06-10?

someone made a 97 red you like ??

searching memory banks... OK, perhaps lavieres briailles but that was tasted back in 2001.

sure, a number are acceptable - mugneret, mugnier - but I would not go out of my way

i've had a few. never from the usual suspects though. as in a lot of warmer vintages, the crevices in the hills where the frost lingers came into their own.

once in a universe far far away, beyond the reaches of even teh interwebs, there was a place that teh pointguys never visited, and the clivester told everyone how the wines were shite because sufficient freebies was not forthcoming liyek.

these days, there are precious few crevices for teh suspects to hide in.

i like cornu too. but my most memorable bottles of ladoix have come from francois gay. the 01 is genius. gay also had that happy knack of making wine i liked in vintages i didn't, i.e, 97.

according to the papers the politburo had served on me, it is called "reform school hell for teh interwebz bully d00ds who dare to question teh rights of teh other d00d s to lurve teh corked orange winez and teh other shitz what taste like a monkey's ass".

or, as it is affectionately known, the rshftibdwdtqtrotodtltcowatoswtlama.

my spell at rshftibdwdtqtrotodtltcowatoswtlama is going well, and i have been approved for reintegration for the purpose of casting vague opinions on topics such as wines from obscure villages in burgundy and .sascha's fridge.

i'm looking forward to the day that my rshftibdwdtqtrotodtltcowatoswtlama program works out, and i gets a shout out on some more controversial topics like, "bojo is teh kewl" and, "loire bojo style shitz that gives me tah boner."

but, even then, i fear that restraining order will still bother me.

nice side to that coin as well, btw.

think of how much wonderful young chardonnay would have been called oaky in the first few years

If fb, one of the top three things happening on WD, is being censored by the P'boro or other forces, then the forces of darkness have truly been unleashed on the Earth.

Prepare for the end!

Better the PB focus its terrible prerogatives on real villains, like Nigel.

That was odd, wasn't it?

Tasted the '10 rendition at a recent b'y dinner; interested in your take. Seemed to me superficially soft, but with tight, rather fine intensity underlying. Stephane is the son of Jean-Paul, I read, whose name the house's label carried until recently.

Personally, if I were the politburo, I'd demand that fb only submit responses that had been vetted by spellcheck and his nearest Mrs. Grundy of grammar. As an aesthete, I believe in arbitrary discipline as a form of askesis. Alas I'm not the politburo.
