Domaine LeFlaive Macon-Verze '06 -- Medium yellow, pears, some smooth oak, honey tones, maybe some apricot, medium weight, balance, simplistic style. [VG- E]

Domaine Jean Boillot Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Mouchere 1er Cru '03 -- Pale yellow, pleasing nuttiness, white fruits amidst floral notes, clean and fresh, medium depth, components in balance, light acid. [VG - E]

Maison Dujac Morey St Denis '04 -- Medium red, brittle bouquet, red fruits, tobacco, medium complex, leather and earth, dry, medium acid, maybe a bit rustic. [VG]

Domaine Dujac Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru '04 -- Medium ruby red, powerful aromas, black fruits, lightly perfumed, some oak, elegant mouthfeel, good richness and depth. [E]

Domaine de la Vougeraie Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru '02 -- Dark red, black cherries, pungent bouquet, deep earthiness, power profile, medium tannins, large dimensions, still youthful. [E]

Bill, In Houston.

We had visitors from elsewhere, both nationally and internationally. Thus, we decided to have the food focus to be on Texas (Texana?) cuisine.

The first 3 courses were the seafood, barbecue, and wild game stations. The cheese and dessert courses were delivered by the wait staff to the diners.
