2000 Weingut Brndlmayer Langenloiser Steinmassel Riesling, Qualittswein, alc 12%, $21, Terry Theise Estate Selections: Unusual nose of spun cotton candy (the bright pink kind) and orange rind... on the palate.. ripe green melon and canteloupe with some semi-sweet lime notes with a change to quince on the finish..a bit of quinine lingers...not sweet but not crisp and dry either.. really did great with the moderately hot Asian food...great texture and mouth coating ability.. showing extremely well.. a unique wine.
 
i went thru a handful of brundlmayers this summer and enjoyed each and every one of them. this one sounds great.

have you tried his brut rose? what a wine that one is.
 
By coincidence, I spent part of yesterday afternoon in my cellar lightening my burden of '98 and '00 Austrian whites.

I couldn't find the 6-pack of Willi's GV AR, though. You can try to keep a cumulative inventory, but the errors creep in. Case 54, where are you?
