Late to this thread.

I'm a fan of Chavannes Ambassades. I like the 08 and 09 quite well and am happy that they are recognizable as the same wine from different years. The discussion of process or results oriented wine making is pretty laughable, as others have suggested. Buy the bottles, taste them. Visit the domain or at least read up. I have a hard time seeing the wines or the producer warranting vilification.
 
Again, the discussion about process or results oriented wine may have been triggered by a comment about the Chavannes but was not about the Chavannes at all. Whether it's laughable depends on one's sense of humor.

Perhaps, but if the inference is unwarranted or untrue in the specific case, then it raises doubts about whether one ought to make the inference generally.
