2007 Domaine Matrot Meursault Les Perrieres
With the latest Matrot Perrieres ('08) concern hitting the innerwebs, we thought we had better check one out. Color was correct with light golden to straw hue. I'm happy to report, not even the slightest hint of oxidation. With air, aromas of pineapple, apple juice, and toasted almonds emerged. A wonderful mouth feel, with zippy acidity and superb length. The mid palate was full and carried very well to the lingering finish. This wine, assuming it avoids the "P" plague, has a very bright future.
