Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou St Julien '82 -- Medium red, typical cedar and tobacco, ripe berries, silky tannins, old style elegance, some herbs, appealing lean profile, dark fruits, nicely evolved. [E]

Jeff, Some folks would probably mark this wine down lower due to its having prominent oak and being atypical. However, I must say that the wine should not be shunned out of hand. It was delightful.

Can't vouch for the grammar, but I think I follow Petes intended meaning. The sb showed chard characteristics, which in itself, would be atypical....but of course.
