IPNC 2011

Anyone attending the 25th anniversary of IPNC in July. I received an invite to be a guest winery and since we don't export it actually works out quite expensive. However, it is the 25th and we have many great friends in Oregon and it's all about celebrating Pinot as it sends us a message about its origin. So any of you likely to be there and interested in meeting up? Best wishes, David

I'll likely be there - it's looking to be a great program. You might want to contact James Gosden at Wine Australia in NYC to see if he could assist you with lining up potential distributors. Things are getting a little better on the Aussie Pinot front, based on what I saw at WOPN last weekend.

I look forward to seeing you in McMinnville!

At 800 case total production export is not a high priority. Learning about Pinot and sharing the knowledge is. Wendy has decided that since we had already booked and paid for flights and house rentals for our holiday in France at the end of August that $6000 we were likely to spend for a quick visit to Oregon would be better spent in France. So with great reluctance I declined my invitation along with a big hint about the future and a little more notice. They want 5 cases of wine which is very hard to get there if not impossible based on the experience of friends. Sure if it was a machine gun etc it would have been easy to freight and organise but such is US laws about shipping alcohol. I also really want to get along to WOPN one day and see how it works too. So Eden, enjoy and report back on all the fun.
