hi Mark,
Some fairly dead pinks after 6 months or so, with a number of previous vintages being good for a couple of years. With big and fancy GVs and rieslings, it's a subjective and personal thing - I don't like the evolution thus far, OK and more or less on track texturally but sharp and primary aromatically, with a questionable range of varietal characteristics.

The dead pinks are just weird: by all accounts, screwcaps should keep them fresher rather than the reverse. Your problems with the evolution are more understandable, as screwcaps will often keep wines more primary vs. their evolution under cork. As I said, as screwcap producers have changed their products to allow more oxygen ingress to better emulate corks. As winemakers get some experience with screwcaps, I expect that the wines will evolve in a way that more closely mimics that of cork-finished wines.

Emulate. That's the problem. I am attached to Old School. And its evolution.

I do not play Pac Man on my Mac either.

Also there is too much unpredicatbility in evolution under cork I do not need an additiona overlay.
