2009 Beaujolais and Real Wine

Somewhere in SESF (take that, SXSW) today (19th at York to be more precise) showed that 2009 Beaujolais were really good, but so were 2008 and 2010. Maybe 2010 were the best and 2009 were a little like 1982 clarets.

Oh, and some guy with a name that might make you think he lives in Texas but who lives in the Beaujolais and doesn't make Beaujolais but makes other wines really was shining today. Or rather, his wines were - completely amazing.

I'm not sure that I know what you said, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. I was impressed with the 2010 barrel samples I tasted yesterday. Not that I have anything against 1982 clarets or anything. Or 2002 Burgundies, for that matter.

-Eden (and that other guy you mentioned was glowing as much as his wines were. But he had a right to)
