NYT request...from Japan

The NYT's 3/20 op-ed page features a drawing by 89 yr old manga master, Shigeru Mizuki (that apparently, the Times commissioned). He was asked if he could do something in response to the disaster. Does anyone have a copy of this they'd be willing to mail to me? I have a friend or three who would be thrilled to have the original page. Will gladly pay postage. Please pm if you can. Thanks.

This too scares the crap outta me. And the people down below in the foreground appear to be unaware of how much is moving their way, and how fast.

PS - Thanks, Rahsaan, Steve and Brad for sending copies of the Shigeru Mizuki work. He is quite a character of renown here and my friends are stoked. See Wiki.

Yes. In rough numbers there are 10,000 confirmed dead and 15,000 missing, last I saw.

As Joe said... the official count from this morning's paper is over 11,000 confirmed deaths and over 16,000 missing. That last figure reflects those who are "officially listed as missing", meaning only cases where someone--relative, employer, acquaintance, whatever--has gone to the authorities and filled out the paperwork to have someone listed as missing.
Unfortunately I think the 25,000 number is also too conservative. The local Japanese language news over the last few days has had some ominous reports from officials saying the devastation in some communities was so complete that there are no next-of-kin or neighbors around to file a Missing Persons report, no town hall archives remaining to properly research residency, etc. In these cases it is all but impossible to know how many are gone.
