I'm new to the forum and love good wine, whites and reds. I've just started learning more about the fine points wine, tasting and serving. Looking forward to your input.

Sometimes I wonder why lurkers ever introduce themselves.

I like Pineau d'Aunis. Brad likes CdP. I like Cdp. Surely logic therefore establishes that Brad must also like Pineau d'Aunis.

As to the finer points of serving wine, I remember seeing a silent version of Uncle Tom's Cabin in which Simon Legree knocks the top off a bottle by hitting it against the side of a table and proceeds to drink from the bottle while leering joyously. I always liked that mode of serving, though I've never had the sprezzatura to imitate it.
