I'd like to see more confirmation of that. When I was in the Mosel at the end of August, producers told me that major geological problems below where the pillars were to go had been discovered -- because this was such a screw-up, no one would admit it and cancel the project, but it would make building it very difficult, too.

I would rather they stop heli-spraying so much in summer, but that's probably too much to ask.

I've heard about the pillars as well, on this trip.

What I had not realized is where they are planning to install the damn thing. The river turn near Urziger Wurzgarten is one of the most spectacular spots in the region, IMO, and one that I am particularly attached to.
