From Aki Misono's blog.

Looks promising. I expect there's going to be further changes evident in the wines as he refines his methods.

I hear Frank may be holding a 10 year vertical of his wines later this year perhaps?

I've just completed a "Week of Frank"with a Munjebel 6va...popped it in a Ovarius decanter and tried it over 7 days....interesting exercise...I'll post some notes up if anyones interested.

Let's be Frank. I'm in the Barossa Valley. I'm not getting anything but sunburned and drunk.

-Eden (my favorite breakfast place in Tanunda is no more, either)

Go to Blond cafe in Angaston or nosh in Tanunda....try the new Vietnamese restaurant in Tanunda called FermentAsian also.

And get in touch if you feel like drinking something other than big arsed Shiraz....I work at a winery in the Barossa and live up in the Eden Valley :)

Doesn't everyone?

Thanks for the caffeine reccos. Coffee at Kiel's and pastry at Apex this morning worked just fine (but for the screaming kids at Kiel's)

-Eden (getting my eardrums deadened enough for Tanunda Hotel)

Joe, getting a Cornelissen mailer?

Btw....the shiraz's worked well enough as the mole wasn't that spicy. The mescal worked even better.

We are indeed organizing a 10 year vertical/ horizontal (in the early years he made 3 different Magmas per year) of Magma for later this year in New York. I assume he is doing this in a few places around the globe as well.

Also, I would love to see notes on this!

Thanks Zev,

I've heard of ones being organised in Europe.....you don't feel like organising one in the Barossa do you? :D

That should be a fantastic experience and I'll have to see if I can make it over for one of the tastings!

I'll write up those notes over the weekend.

Cheers

Dave
