Alice Feiring

Oh, yeah?

Well I'm contacting the Gaming Commission. I think this was a thrown fight. Fixed from the start.

Dressner goes out in the 2nd? Hardly likely.

In the old days, before twitter, a campaign of hate would go on for two to six months at least. Now they barely last an afternoon.

Shame, really.

I struggle to follow twitter conversations.

I have come to be OK with this.
I agree. Following a conversation is one of the most annoying things about it; way too many clicks.

I can't figure out how a person can maintain website, blog, Facebook, twitter and e-mail arguments all at the same time. It seems like a full time job but without a paycheck.

Whatever happened to just yelling at strangers in the street?

about an Alice F. campaign of hate? I thought the rule was one year on, one year off.

But I have been out of activity, deactivated, detuned, untuned.

And who can tolerate twitter anyway at an advanced age who isn't paid to do so? For my part, I can't keep my eyes looking in the same direction all the way through a BB thread, let alone a twitter "discussion".

That may be a function of my meds. Still, I was never much for Luddism or ware loathing before humankind entered its death spriral. I tend to think the whole twitter thing, and not twitter itself, presents a very bad symptom. Among other recent internet things the uptake of which represents something fundamentally amiss.

So is AF afield again?

On more substantive matters, Alice has come to be the dominant voice on natural wine in the English speaking world, so campaigns of hate with her have more resonance than they used to.
