Not for every wine made in any given region. But a 2009 Patrimono from Antoine Arena is much different from his 2008, 2007 and 2006.

That's a vintage generalization based on the concrete not the vague conjectured.

We should pause and consider the consequences before blithely bad-mouthing "vague conjecture". A lot of people could be thrown out of work.
