I've heard these are the same variety. Is that true? If so, makes sense. Love the Conceito Bastardo 2007 and 2009; slightly less keen on the austere 2008. I love pale-coloured red wines.
Not Jura-esque, but well worth trying - St. Amant's "Tawny Port." It's called Tawny Port to satisfy labeling regs from puzzled TTB bureacrats, but in fact it's Bastardo, vinified and aged in a similar fashion to Madeira. Unique and tasty. Yes, it's rather pale.I love pale-coloured red wines.
