Cheverny 09

Clos du Tue-Boeuf. No love? Don't know what folks are getting in the US, but the reds here are often too sour for me. I always love the noses, but just too unripe. Love this one though. Pinotic gamay (small wonder) forest floor, fresh picked herbs, a touch of va (in a nice way) bright cherry and long on the palate for the price. 09 vintage was warm? This invites non-critical drinking, like the Lapierre, but acid freaks might think this a bit floozy. To me, it has all the good things that TP does usually +1.

I think I wrote here very positively about the '09. But if my first taste is something I should trust, I do prefer the less ripe '10. I don't find them neither unpleasantly sour (but I do like sour ales, too) nor unripe.

I'm a big fan of Puzelat. His solos are punchy and never meander.

True. I tend to love his whites over the reds, because they punch, but give, as well. Let's think about the meandering thing a bit more....for example, many a wine bottle has been opened and questioned over several hours' time....then it hits it's zone.
