Oh, and by the way, for those keeping score at home, an '02 first release petillant consumed last night was lovely and the most open bottle I've tried.
Well, I wouldn't necessarily say it's more open than it was back on release but it's night and day compared to how it was showing a year ago.
I'm sitting on a six-pack of '02 first release and I'm not budging yet.

"She's the nice one," they'll tell you.

no, that's me, so fuck off!

I'm now even more confused.

ah, then my work here is done.

I had always thought that Maureen was the one of Sharon and nathan's twins who was disowned for having been sent out to buy Barthod and coming back with Bachelet and Truchot instead?

Next Jeeb. I'll open a reserve and you open the 1st release.

Todd- Didn't you say that WD was that snarky board when I tried to show you the light at La Paulee? :) Just say'in.

BTW, the 02 Huet's are great...I thought the 2nd and 3rd were the same as the first, but on the lees for longer periods of time...I recall the 2nd seemed less edgy with less precision, but had perhaps more depth and silkiness. I haven't opened any of the reserve yet.

Until you want to know something, then, suddenly, we're the place to come.

Those two statements aren't exactly in opposition, Jeff. Snarky and knowledgeable pretty well sums it up for me.

And nothing that has transpired over the past few days has changed my opinion. The difference is, now, I kinda like it.

I think that's called that the Stockholm syndrome.
