Happy Cinco

We had some decent tamales, and a fabulous bottle of the '08 ESJ Gamay Noir Porphyry. It is drinking very well. Raspberry red fruits with an undercurrent of mineral, very bright and silky in the mouth. I read some earlier notes mentioning reduction, but this bottle had none of those problems. Very pretty.

¡Margaritas, bebe! Made with Key limes drug back from FL last week, some Reposado we had tucked away and Cointreau, OTR FTW. If you have to have wine, though, Gamay doesn't sound half bad.

Ok, How about this, "I have had some unexpected pleasurable experiences consuming Mexican food and drinking wines made from the Gamay grape, specifically those from the Beaujolais region of France. YMMV." I have recently had a similar experience consuming olives while drinking champagne.

OAN - My sister is off to Paris for a week and I was looking for the post Sharron wrote up about wine bars and restaurants - the search function is letting me down. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks

Generalizing Mexican food is also hazardous.

Search for "bowman fish" and make sure you look at the comment results.
