Delicious, correct, open and fun. Quite clean as well with very little wooly/gamey notes I get just a little bit of from Chidaine in Montlouis. But this isn't a complaint in any event - just a difference. The alcohol is also SO well managed (13.5%) but perhaps it is better to say the sugar was perfectly managed in this hotter vintage. Kind of reminded me of how Lauer dials in the wines with a flexible eye toward making the wine not by formula but with what nature gave. There is some depth there too and I think it will age some but I have no idea how long. Acids were so refreshing and quite an accomplishment with the heat.

I think this wine is great and Cory and Guillaume deserve a lot of credit for bringing it over. Well done boys!

I agree with you, Mike. More than anything, kudos to Guillaume and Cory (or as I like to think of them, Didi and Gogo).

And thank you for bringing more perspective to the terroir.

Plus indeed. A half bottle neglected in the fridge for about 5 days held up beautifully. Seemed to be in a better place than it went in.
