2001 Weingut Knoll Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Ried Loibenberg, alc 13,5%, $32...nose is an interesting mix of a bitter green bean and asparagus....the palate is intense with a brisk almost electric acidity and just dances over the tongue....it gains in intensity as I swish it around in my mouth....really good!!!

Recent price or original? It would be a terrific bargain if recent.

Nice! I've been eyeing mine, but have not opened any in a while. Have a '99 Shutt Riesling in the nearer term queue, but perhaps your note will motivate me to tap an '01 GV.
