I wish I was seeking advice for myself, but, no, this is for my sister and mother in law.

does anyone (sharon!) know of a decent place to eat within walking distance (a dozen blocks at most) from the opera metro stop? preferably french cuisine, price average to above average, wine list doesnt have to be anything special (a potable vin du maison will sufice) some english spoken would be nice but not essential.

any ideas? thanks in advance.
