2009 Domanine du Pavillon de Chavannes, Cote de Brouilly, Cuvee des Ambassades..alc 12.5%, $20....deep dark red purple in the glass...nose of violets and a hint of raspberry...really nice on the palate with a remarkable balance and mouthfeel.....balances sweetness with richness and does it well....Young but showing well....

My first exposure to this producer but a favorable one..apparently growing grapes since 1861...12 of the 17 acres are reserved for this cuvee...

We had this a couple of months ago and liked it a lot - just as you describe it. There's a thread around somewhere on the constancy of style in this bottling from vintage to vintage.
