98 E Guigal Hermitage

1998 E Guigal Hermitage, alc 13%, $54...nose is a bit musty then becomes more mineral (iron, etc...)....palate has progeria...tastes like it's best days were years ago....not much going on....

By that time, all of Guigal's good sources were going into the La-Las. The normale bottlings didn't have the stuffing like they used to.

I presume you are referring to current vintages. I just posted on the '98 which was quite tasty.
