Grilled a grass fed Bison London Broil with a adobo/Markers Mark 46 sauce with sauteed mushrooms, 25 bean cajun soup and broccoli...
89 Noel Verset Cornas, alc 11%...first bottle significantly corked with a sharp metallic note as well...bottle 2 had a fairly wet cork that came out in 2 pieces...put in the Rojaus and allowed to "breathe"....nose initially very sour, sour milk??....and this never totally resolved....the palate, however, became more and more intense with great fruit and a good finish....really came alive with the bison....
Backup wine
2005 Puffeney Arbois, alc 13,5%.... also a sour, wet leaves type of nose but not as intense....more acidic and sharp on the palate with sour fruit....
Good but not the best showing of this wine....
