Just in. '94 Torre Muga Rioja Reserva $78.99. Mature Rioja for Bordeaux lovers...

@chambersstwines Wow! ChambersSt espousing much-reviled TorreMuga 94! You modernist Philistines! ;-)

It's all so enlightening!

But maybe in their day they alerted the cognocscenti to rare new Gentaz bottlings.

@vdelaserna We have the '09 Marañones Piesdescalzos on the shelf just a few slots down from the Torre Muga. Lots of cooks in the kitchen...

@chambersstwines So you think the Piesdescalzos exonerates you from the sin of TorreMuga-ing? It will not! ;-)

And now for the end of the story - which is rather obviously what I was aiming at...

@chambersstwines I'll drop the kidding: I'm excited to see TorreMuga'94 there, as it was reviled by geeks as 'oak soup'. It isn't. Needed time.

This might be a reason for me to actually begin using Twitter.

I used twitter. Still didn't get any. Jeff will tell you the real story, how it all went down.

I am also on twitter (@corkhoarder) and that is how I found out. So now, and only now, can you say they are in "good homes."

They never hit the shelves.
