and there's a lot to harass her over!

can you believe that she has never let us organize a jeebus for her in NYC? never!

the nerve of some people...

Actually, a bazillion years ago at Minetta Tavern - Coad even wrote it up!

Well, technically, it was organized for craig potts and then I announced I'd be in town - this was so long ago Plotnicki was even on the original attendance list!

I promise I'll come up sometime - maybe in the fall (off to Burgundy at the end of this month and that's it for summer travel I think).

So, what's everyone's prediction of the next vanishing producer you'll feel sorry for not loading up on when you had the chance? (Verset doesn't count, that ship has sailed!)

Baudy Franc de Pied since you have already cornered the market and the vineyard is producing less and less (is this correct?).

But I think the pricing problem started, like many do, with two idiots, er, male burg lovers in the room at an auction each determined to have the small lot of Truchot on offer. After that inflated buy, prices everywhere shot up.

Be careful who and where you call people idiots because that idiot might just be a frequent participant here.

i must admit I've stopped extolling some of my favorite wines in berserkers

Having found this place, why would anyone post anywhere else?

(tho I do miss a very few people from my WLDG days...)

Mostly for the burgundy talk. I'll read any board where Robert thornton posts.

Invite him over. We'll give him a rousin' welcome.

Yeah, I'll be in a pretty good place if that wine ever gets Truchot'ed.

well, as to domaines, not sure (other than Dujac after M. Seysses kindly PMed me with an invitation - turns out we share a love of mosel riesling) because I'm going to visit Becky W. and be her guest at Allen Meadows' bacchanal, er, master class on gevrey chambertin. So other than her producers in Gevrey (bachelet and burguet), not sure where we'll be tasting.

So, I don't think we've heard from Matt about the Truchot. Was it flabby?

Hey Oswaldo, I posted my note on the previous page. The wine was flabbier than the 2004 Clos Sorbes and reminded us more of a nice California pinot.

Keith - You cornered the market on Baudry Franc de Pied too!? You and I should talk, we could benefit from eachother's fast hands.

Have a bottle of Baudry Franc de Pied that you could spare from your caseload?
