Lavinia Paris is holding a tasting (no charge, I understand) of a bunch of wines from 18 Spanish wineries Friday at 7 PM. Some good ones, mine not being necessarily one of them, but I'll be showing my Signo Bobal 08, made with our arcane local variety (and I'll try to sneak in some pre-release Signo Garnacha 09). If anyone's around, please say hello. It's the start of a month-long Spain show at Lavinia - not a usual event there, despite it being a Franco-Spanish company.

Well, not with Lavinia, but eventually we'll finally carry out the 'Spanish wine&Japanese cuisine' tour a few friends who share the same Japanese importer, Minoru Kanai, had planned for this month. For obvious reasons it's been set back. Mauro, Roda (and their olive oils, Dauro) and ourselves would be on it. Will keep you posted if we can get it back on track.originally posted by Joel Stewart:
