From the recent library release. This is what I wish CdP could deliver more often (or other Cali Rhone blends). So layered and nuanced, seamlessly combining red and dark fruits, developed leathery elements, herbs and savoury earth into a single polished whole. There's still plenty of bright primary fruit and a bit of tannin suggesting this should continue to age for some time ahead for this, but it's so well balanced and enjoyable right now that I have no issues about opening my only bottle. Brilliant wine. Thanks Steve.

A bottle of the '01 not long ago made much the same impression. Incredibly fragrant, it was a stop-you-in-your tracks kind of wine.
