Jefford and natural wine

I suppose that there's enough "dogmatism - and 'charlatanry'" in the regular wine world for there to be enough left over to dribble down into the natural wine realm.

As someone who's been accused in the past of having "the wind of fashion behind them" (which invariably turns out to be stirred up by last night's bean 'n' tofu casserole), I've finally come to the point in life where I know what I like and I like what I know and that's the truth. Jefford's story takes a couple of column inches to say not much of anything. Sad really, as I usually enjoy his work. I hope that this is not the Reader's Digest abridged version of his next book, as I could see someone writing a whole book on this sort of fatuous argument. Perhaps an overzealous editor needed to make room for another advert?

-Eden (might not SO2 be a component or at least an after effect of a "gale of gluttony" or "tornado of torpidity?)

It has become a commonplace that during a tasting appointment a visiting non-Natural producer, generally the type that sports expensive, designer eyewear, will deride the Natural wine "police" for their dogmatism and such. This is always entirely unprompted, mind you.
