Willamette riesling producers?

Sounds good Vincent. Will get in touch if I make it down this trip. I used to work with a master printer on an annual basis near NW 21st and Hoyt. Used to stay at the funky Northip station Inn and did a lot of shopping at City Market (tho pricey). Now I can just drop into the Fred Meyer over there it seems...

Yeah, 45 yrs for such an obscure grape in the US seems one of the more unlikely plantings I've heard of (and Oswaldo might approve, but if not, he can always bring along some bottled water for a little instant "mouillage"....)
 
City Market should have Teutonic wines. Liner & Elsen right near by as well. Funny though that New Seasons Markets haven't stocked the wines...and yet a few Fred Meyer outlet are all over them. Go figure.
 
This was their response on their Facebook page to my question on where I could buy their wine in Willamette Valley:
to buy in Portland, try Liner & Elsen, Great Wine Buys and to drink at a restaurant (PDX) or wine bar, we suggest Kir Wine Bar, Nostrana, Heathman, Wildwood, Evoe, Papa Haydn/Jo Bar, Clyde Common, Olympic Provisions, Castagna, Berlin Inn, G...enoa. If you're in wine country, Fred Meyer Newberg just picked up a bunch of our wines, and Tina's Dundee Bistro, Joel Palmer House, Farm to Fork and Dundee Bistro.
 
Just had a lovely evening at the Tuttles last night and their schwenker grill. I mentioned this thread and Barnaby said people can call and come by the house if they want to taste. But they don't like to sell direct. They farm a two acre parcel in Alsea, 22 miles from the ocean and much cooler than typical valley sites. They also source from a variety of sites around the Willamette Valley.

All said, again, about friends. But after tying a bunch of new wines last night, I'm more of a fan than ever. The 2010 White Wine is a blend of Pinot Noir pressed immediately and Muller Thurgau. Delicious. The Chasselas Dore was waxy and chenin like in texture and weight, with some sweetness. Perhaps my favorite.
 
I found several bottles of Teutonic wine at the Fred Meyer in Newberg.

I've got to say, the Fred Meyer has better wine selection than any grocery store I've checked out in Nevada, plus better than the Reno Trader Joe's. Something to envy.

My whole plan it to get the hell out of Dodge before pinogeddon.
I like Family Winemakers and Rhone Rangers in San Francisco but generally I don't like these mass gatherings.
 
Pascal Brooks became heir to Brooks Winery when his father died unexpectedly at age 38 in 2004. Not a permanent tattoo, but it shows the kid is pretty hard core. I say we make him an honorary Disorderly.

Hmm, it's less than 1/3 the size of Rhone Rangers, so much more of a laid back event actually. (Disclaimer I have not attended RRSF since 09). Or do you mean the didactic and/or social aspects - meals, wine sharing, etc?

Vincent - re: Eric/Sec great prices on Oregon and Loire wines. Been very happy to date. No retail shop, but if you know what you want...
