These guys came from just off Eliza Island, near Lummi in the San Juans.
We have been splitting them in half and cleaning the crab right before throwing them into a pot of seawater. A quick boil for 7-8 minutes, and they come out perfect. A big pinch of Old Bay goes in the pot.

The crab was a great match with a bottle of N.V. Serveaux Fils Champagne Brut Rosé. It was dry with a good amount of earthy elements to offset the red fruits.

Is it too soon to set a date for your Seattle visit and Jeeb?

You should visit, it is very beautiful right now.
The salmon are running, and the Orca whales are in the bay chasing the salmon.

Man, there are worse places to be in the summertime no? Saw two of the Orca pods off SJI a couple weeks back.
Just had an awesome climb down in the Pickets. So much snow in those hills still.
