2009 Texier Côtes-du-Rhone St. Julien St. Alban 13.5%

Oswaldo Costa

Oswaldo Costa
Delicately fragrant, with chalky red berries and iodine. Excellent weight, acid well balanced with fruit that stops short of ripe while finishing long. Nice tartness on the rump. Becomes attractively savory with food. Looking forward to the 2010, which should be even finer.

I was so impressed tasting this wine when Dressner had his industry event in San Francisco I purchased a case for myself. I don't usually buy cases of anything, usually six bottles. So if the wine turns bad with a little age I'll just chalk it up to a manic palate.

You'll have plenty of company, Lou.
