I had no idea, but it seems that British wine ain't the same thing as English Wine.

I'm not rushing out to back up the truck on either one, but who knew?

I guess that's a stalling point in the discussion over what to call their traditional method sparklers, as despite my preferred "British Original Method" ( "It's da bomb!") taking in both English and Welsh producers of such, the downmarket association with British Wine might be asking too much of them to bear.

I like "Premium English Method" too, and Merret was English, so the Welsh just need to get over that shit.
